CCDC has a number of tools available to assist landowners, developers and investors undertaking development projects in Boise's urban renewal districts. These include:
- Reducing land costs (land write-downs)
- Acquisition and vacation of rights-of-way
- Funding public improvements including streets, street lights and streetscaping; traffic signals; curb, gutter and sidewalks; drainage; utility relocation; other infrastructure investments
- Payment of road impact fees in certain areas
- Equity investment
- Construction of public parking facilities that help private developers reduce or eliminate city requirements for on-site parking
- Assistance with obtaining project approvals (entitlements)
- Design assistance
- Project advocacy and support
- Other tools under consideration
