Urban Renewal Districts

CCDC has responsibility for the redevelopment of three areas located
in and adjacent to the central business core of Boise. The first
is the Central District which dates to 1965 and is the oldest urban
renewal district in Idaho. It encompasses a 15-block area extending
roughly from Capitol Boulevard to Tenth Street and from Front Street
to Bannock. The second district, River Myrtle--Old Boise, was created
in 2004. Its approximate boundaries are Americana Boulevard on the
west, Grove and Jefferson streets on the north, Broadway on the
east and Myrtle and River streets on the south. Westside Downtown,
approved in December 2001, extends from Eighth and Ninth streets
on the east side to 16th and 18th streets on the west side and from
Grove Street on the south to Jefferson and Washington streets on
the north.
