Maryanne Jordan

Commissioner


Maryanne Jordan has served on the Boise City Council beginning in 2003.  Boise voters re-elected her in 2005, 2009 and 2013. She served as Council President 2005-2006 and 2010 to 2015.  Maryanne also was appointed to Boise's District 17 seat in the Idaho Legislature during 2015.

Maryanne holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from San Jose State University, and is a graduate of the Citizen’s Police Academy and the Citizen’s Law Academy. She acted as a co-sponsor with Council member and former Commissioner Lauren Mclean of the City of Boise’s non-discrimination ordinance, and was active in the Boise Foothills Open Space Campaign.

Boise residents since 1994, she and her husband Rocky were long time owners and operators of Cop Shop Etc.  She is a former President of the West Valley Neighborhood Association and spent five years on the Boise City Planning & Zoning Commission. She also served as the facilitator of the Neighborhood Alliance.
