Boise Entrepreneur Dan Faricy to Lead Trailhead’s Next Chapter

Dan FaricyTrailhead, Boise’s startup hub for starting and scaling businesses and high impact projects, is proud to announce the selection of Dan Faricy as its new Executive Director. Dan brings to Trailhead his wide-ranging experience in both startups and large technology companies.

Formerly the CEO of Wirestone in Boise, Dan has also held leadership positions at various Boise tech companies and non-profit organizations. Like many Boise entrepreneurs, Dan has roots at Hewlett Packard where he led their regional marketing efforts. Recently Dan has been Trailhead’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence, mentoring startups and delivering educational programs.

As a serial entrepreneur and lifelong learner, Dan brings an exciting combination of startup experience, financial savvy, and a passion for expanding the Boise economy through entrepreneurship.

Mr. Faricy will assume the ED role in May after a transition from Trailhead’s founding Executive Director, Raino Zoller. In the transition, Raino and Dan will work together on fully launching the Trailhead Code School, as well as the web development apprenticeship program known as the “dev shop”. This finishing school for local and out-of-area boot camp graduates will provide design projects to make apprentice coders job ready.

Trailhead’s Board of Directors conducted an exhaustive national search for this position, yielding many qualified candidates from Boise and throughout the country.

“Dan’s experience as an entrepreneur, his passion for Boise, and experience in marketing and fundraising made this decision an easy one for our Board,” said Nic Miller, Trailhead’s Board Chair, adding, “Our Board would like to thank Raino for the past two years of leadership during our own startup phase, and we are excited for Trailhead’s future growth with Dan at the helm.”
